A jack of all trades, Jock McPherson had a wild and varied career as a writer, soldier, fisherman, publisher and PR man. His passion however, was winemaking. He planted his first vineyard in 1968, eventually passing it on to his only son Andrew who works in the company to this day. Jock's Cabernet exhibits a rich, ripe berry and mint bouquet and displays a full flavoured, fleshy, fruit laden palate.

In 2014, winemaker Jo Nash discovered an exceptional parcel of Shiraz which was gently crushed and then stored away in some ridiculously expensive French oak barrels to age for 12 months. Montana Affinity Sauvignon Blanc retains the full flavour and aromas typical of their Sauvignon Blanc, but made in a low alcohol expression. On the palate the crisp acidity coupled with a textural sweetness which is reminiscent of fresh grapefruit. Texturally the wine is punctuated by a light spritz that stimulated the palate, lifting the aromas and flavours, providing a carefree, refreshing sip.
